New and Notable Attractions

The park consistently introduces new experiences, keeping the magic fresh for both first-time visitors and returning guests. The newest and most anticipated addition is the “World of Frozen,” which opened in November 2023. This immersive land transports you directly into the kingdom of Arendelle, featuring iconic sights from the film. Inside this land, you will discover two new attractions: “Frozen Ever After” and “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.”

“Frozen Ever After” is a gentle boat ride that takes guests on a journey through Elsa’s ice palace, complete with characters and songs from the movie. Conversely, “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs” offers a family-friendly coaster experience that winds through the Arendelle forest.

Furthermore, Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating its 20th anniversary, kicking off on June 28, 2025. This year-long celebration includes exclusive shows, parades, and nighttime spectaculars. The “Friendtastic!” Parade, for example, is the largest parade in the park’s history, showcasing a variety of new floats and over 30 Disney characters from beloved franchises like Zootopia, Big Hero 6, and Encanto. Additionally, “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky” is an upgraded nighttime spectacular with drones, lasers, fireworks, and 360-degree projections.

Must-Do Rides and Shows

Beyond the new additions, the park boasts a fantastic lineup of unique rides and classic attractions. One of the most celebrated rides is “Mystic Manor,” a trackless dark ride exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland. Passengers follow Lord Henry Mystic’s mischievous monkey, Albert, through a collection of enchanted artifacts. Experts on the park often call it one of the best dark rides in the world. “The undisputed king of Hong Kong Disneyland!” says one Disney specialist.

For thrill-seekers, “Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars” delivers a unique twist on the classic mine train coaster. It starts as a scenic ride through a Wild West mining town before suddenly reversing direction mid-ride. Another standout is “Hyperspace Mountain,” a space coaster with a Star Wars theme that sends guests whizzing past X-wings and TIE fighters in the dark.

The park also offers a variety of compelling shows. “Festival of the Lion King,” a Broadway-style musical, is a fan favorite with impressive singing, dancing, and acrobatics. Similarly, “Mickey and the Wondrous Book” is a live stage show featuring a captivating story and an impressive cast of Disney characters.

Getting There: Transportation Guide

Traveling to Hong Kong Disneyland is simple, with multiple transportation options available from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and the city.

  • MTR (Mass Transit Railway): The MTR system is an efficient option. Visitors can take the Airport Express train to Tsing Yi Station, transfer to the Tung Chung Line, and then switch to the dedicated Disneyland Resort Line at Sunny Bay Station. The Disneyland Resort Line features themed trains, which adds to the excitement. The total journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
  • Taxi: A taxi provides a direct and fast option. The ride from the airport to the park typically takes about 15 minutes. Blue taxis, which serve Lantau Island, can be found at the airport’s designated taxi stand. This option is particularly convenient for families with luggage.

Tickets and Pricing

Visitors can purchase a variety of tickets and passes. As of late 2025, one-day tickets start from HK$669. Many visitors find the “Non-stop 2-Day Fun Ticket” a great value, as it allows two consecutive visits to the park for just a small additional cost. The park also offers various “Disney Premier Access” passes, which provide priority access to popular attractions, minimizing wait times. These passes can be a worthwhile investment, especially on busy days. We recommend checking the official Hong Kong Disneyland website for the most current pricing and special offers.
